Several of our knives have achieved levels of notoriety
over the last few years.
The Mini-Bowie, probably the classic in our line, designed
and built by Dick Patton, was featured in the movie "Last of the
Dogmen". If you know this knife or own one, you really should
see this movie. The Mini-Bowie also won "Best Camp Knife"
at PKA Denver '99.
The Little Wing, designed by me, won "Best Bird and Trout"
at the PKA Denver '97 show. Our knives have won awards in these categories
as well: Best Damascus Knife, Best Hand Forged, and Best
Primitive Knife.
Our fighters have been recognized by enthusiasts around the country as
high performance blades, solidly built: The Merlin is a
4-time award winning design: "Best Fighting Knife" Denver
'97 and '98. "Best Fighter" South Eastern Custom Show,
Winston Salem, NC '99. "Best Fighting Tactical" Expo
2000, Buena Park, California '2000. The new Patton/Kasper Grande,
designed by renowned bladesman Bob Kasper, won "Best Fighting
Tactical" at its first public appearance at Expo 2001, Buena
Park and again at the PKA Denver 2001 show. The new Mandrita fighting/dueling
Bowie is quickly gaining popularity with players nationwide and students
of martial arts.
We are humbled and very grateful for these events.

What's
New:
The last year has been productive for us and has brought about several
new additions to our line of knives, especially in the Fighter/Tactical
category. The Foxbat Project has delivered up a new family of progressive
modern fighters ranging from a full-size, double guarded 9-10 inch bowie-size
blade to a 7 in. integral guard to a folder with an articulated guard
designed by our friend Troy Kloss. These knives are designed and built
primarily as edged defensive weapons with emphasis on the point thrust
and the backcut. They are all of course quite capable of handling any
utility chore with ease.

Taiko
and Taiko Wak
Another new model for this year is the Taiko and Taiko Wakizashi.
Forged from 1050 high carbon steel, the Taiko's are our version
of the popular clay heat treat Japanese style blades with a leather
wrap over traditional rayskin. The standard Taiko has a 7 inch Tanto
style blade with a 4.75 inch handle integrated with leather and
rayskin. Menuki optional as available. The Taiko Wak blades will
range from around 14 to 18 inches. |
